People hoping to download free poker should consider UB, so I would like to introduce another UB pro, Adam Levy. Online players will know him as “Roothlus” since he uses that alias on all the major US friendly poker sites. The 28 year old professional was born in New York but he has since moved away and now lives in Florida. Before he discovered poker, he made money by waiting tables while also going to school.
Levy has cashed for over $3 million on the best online poker sites, something most people cannot say for themselves. An inspiring thing to know about Levy’s resume of online cashes is that the most he has ever won in a single tournament is $387.5k, yet his winnings are still well over the $3 million mark. This goes to show his impressive consistency as a player. His ever impressive $387k cash was earned by placing 2nd in an FTOPS event on his Full Tilt Poker download a year ago. He also won $80k on Full Tilt in the $750,000 Guaranteed. His largest PokerStars cash was four years ago when he finished 3rd in the Sunday Million and received $56.9k.
Levy has over $1.5 million in live winnings, too, a large portion coming from tournaments in US poker rooms. He had his largest cash ever in this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event after finishing just outside the final table in 12th place. Missing the November Nine was very disappointing, but he must have been pleased to add an extra $635k to his bank account. Before this year, his best live cash had been in 2008 for $266,445.
Levy has his day mapped out perfectly when he plays online poker. He prefers to get out of bed a couple hours before playing on money poker sites because going to his computer first thing after waking up isn’t his style. He knows his day has gone right so far when he has had his shower and early breakfast. His music of choice while he is playing is, surprisingly, techno. And then, when he has finished playing on the best US poker sites, he players FIFA on his XBOX to unwind. I like a man that knows what he’s doing!
If you are inspired by Levy, there is no substitute for playing tons of hands and studying. You should find a great deal of free poker training on various websites so even if you don’t know what you are doing at first, you should be able to improve quickly.
